WA rebates, in plain numbers.
What each scheme is actually worth on the systems we install, which ones stack, and what Synergy pays you for the power you export.

Western Australian homes can claim three separate forms of support in 2026: the federal STC discount on solar (small-scale technology certificates, already deducted from every advertised price on this site), the federal Cheaper Home Batteries discount (itemised on your quote; we do not publish a dollar-per-kWh rate), and the WA Residential Battery Scheme for eligible Synergy customers. The battery schemes stack.

Already deducted from every advertised price.
The STC discount falls each year as the deeming period shortens — it ends in 2030. These are the figures on the sizes we install, calculated the same way our calculator does it.
| System size | 2026 STC discount | 2027 STC discount |
|---|---|---|
| 6.6 kW | $1,778 | $1,422 |
| 10 kW | $2,726 | $2,173 |
| 13.2 kW | $3,595 | $2,844 |
| 19.8 kW | $5,372 | $4,306 |
| 30 kW | $8,177 | $6,518 |

Indicative, based on Perth’s Zone 3 rating of 1.382 and a certificate price of $40. The certificate price moves with the market, so your quote confirms the exact figure.

Two schemes — and you can use both.
Eligible households can claim the federal discount and the state scheme together, then finance the balance.

Federal
The Cheaper Home Batteries program discounts eligible batteries between 5 and 50 kWh through small-scale technology certificates. The certificate factor changes, so we itemise the current discount on your quote rather than publish a dollar-per-kWh rate.

Exporting pays little. Storing pays more.
Under Synergy's Distributed Energy Buyback Scheme, midday exports earn 2c a unit. That is why a battery, not a bigger array, is usually the next thing worth buying.
