The install itself takes a day. The full journey takes 2–4 weeks. Here's the honest timeline we quote Perth customers.
Week 0: Quote and design
Our 15-second quote form starts the process. We design your system from satellite imagery and a phone consult, then confirm with photos or a site visit for complex roofs.
Week 1–2: Approvals
Two approvals happen before installation:
- Western Power application — grid connection approval, typically 5–10 business days
- Synergy notification — meter reconfiguration scheduling
We lodge and track both. You don't fill in a single form.
Week 2–4: Installation day
A standard 6.6kW install takes our in-house crew 4–6 hours; 10kW with a battery is usually a full day. The system is tested, monitored and switched on the same day where the meter allows.
After switch-on
Synergy reconfigures your meter (sometimes 1–2 weeks later — your system still works and saves during this window), monitoring is set up on your phone, and your 15-year workmanship warranty begins.
